The nearest airports for those attending the Costa Brava Convention are Girona (GRO) and Barcelona El Prat (BCN).

The main public bus service on the Costa Brava is operated by SARFA Buses at:

From Barcelona Airport, there are 8 direct buses a day to Tossa de Mar. The journey is approximately 2 1/2 hours, provided there are no delays.

Meanwhile, Girona Airport offers only 2 direct buses a day to Tossa de Mar The journey time is about 1 1/2 hours, again, assuming no delays.

The bus station in Tossa de Mar is conveniently located close to the Golden Bahia convention hotel, roughly 300m away, and it is also near the city center.

Both airports have car hire companies represented.

Directions to Tossa De Mar from the airports are available on the Golden Bahia Hotel or airport websites.

Tossa de Mar is about 110Km from Barcelona Airport (approx. 1 hr 25 mins) and about 40Km from Girona Airport (approx. 1 hr).

From the north: Take exit 9 off the AP-7 motorway towards Vidreres, Lloret de Mar and Tossa de Mar, or along the N-II, exiting at Vidreres, Lloret de Mar.

There is also the option of driving towards Lloret and then Tossa or along the road to Sant Feliu and Platja d’Aro and taking the turn-off straight to Tossa through the countryside.

From the south: Take exit 9 off the AP-7 motorway towards Vidreres, Lloret de Mar and Tossa de Mar, and arriving in Tossa follow the above instructions.

There is also the option is to take the C-32 motorway and taking the last exit of Blanes Costa Brava, and along the N-II to Blanes. In this case you should continue towards Lloret de Mar and Tossa de Mar.

Motorbikes and scooters are available for hire at the airports or in Tossa de Mar.

There's a timetabled 'choo choo train' tourist shuttle that stops outside the Golden Bahia & Spa. It goes to the town centre & beach (its not cheap!).
